We are excited to announce an opening for a Lecturer to join our School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences. The Lecturer will play a crucial role in fostering collaboration between our school and the University of Leicester's Space-related research initiatives, such as Space Park Leicester, the Institute for Space, National Centre for Earth Observation etc.

You will be part of the cross-cutting School research theme on Space Applications, working alongside colleagues such as Prof. Ashiq Anjum (downstream applications, including digital twins and other high-performance systems), Prof. Tanya Vladimirova (Real-Time Image Processing in Satellite Payload Systems, AI‐Enabled HPC for Nanosatellites, Fault-Tolerant Distributed Computing Systems on Spacecraft), Dr. Daniel Hao (AI and Robotics for Systems in Space, GNC for Orbital and Planetary Operations), and others.  The School has had significant success in obtaining funding from UKSA, ESA, and Innovate UK, for projects in collaboration with the above-mentioned partners. 

The successful candidate will be expected to engage in high-level research and teaching in Computer Science, with a focus on research publication, teaching material development, research supervision, and generating impactful research through grants, consultancy, and knowledge transfer.
