Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) is a distinctive, unique institution, rooted in the Liverpool City Region and with a global presence. Our students and staff, past, present, and future, are the beating heart of our city and can be found in every corner of every industry and community. Working with the people of Liverpool to improve lives and support communities is at the heart of why we were founded and why we exist today.
In the last National Student Survey, The School of Psychology scored above the benchmark for all themes and saw an increase in our ranking across all major league tables, including The Times, Guardian, and Good University Guide. Alongside, the School has a thriving and vibrant research culture and outstanding teaching and research facilities. We submitted over 42 FTE staff to REF2021, increased our Research Power (from 27 in 2014 to 76 in 2021) and were ranked 37 out of 93 Institutions for Research Power.
