About this role

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapist educator experienced in Cardio/Pulmonary to undertake the temporary role of Lecturer in Physiotherapy, within the School of Nursing and Allied Health, joining our highly professional, committed and student focused academic community.  This could be an ideal opportunity for someone looking to gain University experience within a gold rated teaching excellence framework. The post is for 2 days a week (0.4fte), for up to 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave, based on the Chichester campus; we will consider a secondment.  As a Physiotherapy Lecturer in the School of Nursing and Allied Health, the working year will be divided between teaching, teaching-related administration and assessment. You will contribute to the delivery of Physiotherapy education enhancing the student experience on all physio programmes; providing students with a high-quality, research informed educational experience leading to an understanding of healthcare practice and the achievement of both academic and professional qualifications. You will also contribute to innovative interprofessional projects within the school and wider collaborations. 

About you

The appointed postholder will have a good relevant undergraduate degree with further professional or academic qualifications at Masters level in Physiotherapy; you will be a practicing Physiotherapist experienced in the area of Cardio/Pulmonary, currently on HCPC register for minimum of 2 years and will be a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). You will also demonstrate the ability to engage the interest and enthusiasm of students, inspiring them to learn with a knowledge of supporting learners in clinical practice. In addition, you will have current experience of working in an educational role around the profession and/or another Higher Education Institute.

Your teaching will be informed by a combination of practical experience and/or research to support high quality learning and teaching, experience of using Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs), and the use of technologies to enhance the learning, assessment of and feedback to students.
