Job description:

The Role

We are seeking to appoint a Lecturer in Philosophy, specialising in Continental Philosophy. A willingness to teach introductory courses in Ancient Philosophy from the Pre-Socratics to Aristotle and beyond, together with an advanced level undergraduate course in Continental Political Thought and a first-year course introducing Existentialism and other areas of Continental thought, would be welcome but not essential.

The candidate will ideally have some teaching experience. At Newcastle, they will contribute to the existing curriculum but may also have the opportunity to design new modules in the future so as to expand our provision.

This post is part time for 0.70FTE
