We are looking for a motivated Lecturer in Nutrition to join our team in the Oxford Brookes Centre for Nutrition and the Health (OxBCNH). Our newly refurbished Centre provides the hub for our Undergraduate BSc degree in Nutrition along with our MSc in Applied Human Nutrition. It also accommodates our commercial centre and post graduate research activities. The Oxford Brookes Centre for Nutrition and Health has close synergies with our sport programmes, particularly the MSc in Sport and Exercise Nutrition and also the Centre for Movement Occupational and Rehabilitation Sciences (MOReS). The post holder will ideally hold a PhD in Nutrition or a Nutrition related subject and be registered with the Association for Nutrition (AfN).

We would like our new Lecturer in Nutrition to undertake academic and academic-related activities in the delivery of high quality education in Nutrition. The successful candidate will contribute to the teaching and supervision of student research projects at both undergraduate and post graduate level.

The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to the developmental ambitions of the department.

Experience required for the post:
We are particularly interested in encouraging applications for our Lecturer post in Nutrition from candidates who have the following:

  • Background in Human Nutrition
  • Demonstrable evidence of involvement in teaching and assessing at undergraduate and postgraduate level
  • Experience and understanding of working in the discipline of nutrition
  • Evidence of research activity
  • Suitable teaching qualification for HE setting (or willingness to complete in post)
  • Ability to contribute to leadership activities
