We seek to appoint an enthusiastic and talented statistician at PhD (Grade 7) level to work on the design and analysis of projects within the research programmes of the School of Medicine, with a particular focus on clinical trials and global health research, and to contribute or lead on teaching related to medical statistics and quantitative research methods for undergraduate/postgraduate programmes. The post holder will join our vibrant Biostatistics Group based in the School of Medicine and work closely with Keele Clinical Trials Unit.
The successful candidate will collaborate on clinical trials including the highly innovative NIHR funded CONTROL study (led by Keele University in collaboration with University of Peshawar, Pakistan) to develop a psychological intervention to improve the outcomes both for depression and tuberculosis (TB) in people with TB in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The School’s research programme in global health started in January 2017, and our aim is to improve the health and wellbeing of the most vulnerable populations in resource poor settings.
You will have a PhD in biostatistics, medical statistics, applied statistics or other related subject with a substantial quantitative component. You will also have experience in applied health research. This is a full-time, four year fixed-term position, in the first instance, with salary dependent on qualifications and experience.
