The University of Central Lancashire excels in the provision of healthcare programmes. The School of Medicine is part of the Faculty of Clinical and Biomedical Sciences which provides, amongst others, programmes in Medicine, Medical Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Pharmacy and Dentistry. The University of Central Lancashire has an excellent reputation for the delivery of health-based courses and has expanded this provision within the School of Medicine.

 

The School of Medicine has designed and developed a new 2 year accelerated BSc (Hons) Medical Sciences programme, which is delivered at our Burnley Campus. The School wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Medical Sciences to contribute to course management, delivery and development of the two-year programme.

 

Working within a committed and enthusiastic team you will focus primarily on the accelerated 2-year BSc (Hons) Medical Sciences. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver teaching and assessment in several areas (clinical and/or fundamental) from Anatomy/Physiology/Pharmacology and Therapeutics. You will contribute to Dissertation project supervision, as required on this programme and contribute towards student recruitment through relevant activities.

The Lecturer grade role requires experience of teaching a healthcare-subject related to Medical Sciences and candidates must have a higher degree in a relevant area.

 

Motivated and enthusiastic, the successful applicant will possess good communication skills and have the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team. The ability to show initiative and innovation and a flexible approach to teaching and learning are essential skills.
