Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering

The School of Electrical, Electronic and Mechanical Engineering is seeking to appoint up to two 0.5 Full time equivalent Lecturers in Mechanical Engineering.

The primary purpose of this position is to prepare and teach the educational provision in the field of engineering management and design & manufacturing at the undergraduate level.

You will have the latitude to influence the education in design, manufacturing, and engineering management. The academic team is progressive and inventive, committed to a modern, integrated approach to the teaching of engineering management. It promotes education through a multidisciplinary approach, integrated team teaching, and a wide range of teaching and assessment methods.

You will be teaching alongside top-tier, innovative, prize-winning educators.

Assist in the delivery and assessment of Engineering Management unit taught in year 3 across all programmes in the EEME school as well as assist in the delivery and assessment of an Engineering Practice unit taught on the Mechanical Engineering programme in year second year.

Supervise and assess Individual Research Projects in year 3 of the Mechanical Engineering programme.

These posts will particularly suit Pathway 2 staff looking for their first step into teaching.
