Applications are invited for a Lecturer in Mathematics. Expertise in Algebra and its applications to Coding Theory, Cryptography or Networks is of particular interest.

This is a full time permanent post.

The role

Mathematics and Data Science is a dynamic subject group within the University of South Wales, active in research and consultancy (as demonstrated through the group’s submission to REF2021) while also reporting excellent student satisfaction rates (e.g. recent NSS results). This post will enhance the wide range of research interests within the department while also contributing to undergraduate degree provision.

About you

You will possess a range of skills necessary to complement and enhance scholarly activity within the department, and to assist its growing reputation both locally and internationally. Your contribution to research and consultancy will be strongly encouraged, with support provided in the development of your personal research profile.

You will have excellent communication skills, be committed to high quality teaching, and will lecture on a range of undergraduate modules including those within the BSc Mathematics course and the department’s wider service teaching provision.
