Applications are invited for a Lectureship in Mathematical Sciences (Financial Mathematics) in the School of Mathematics at Cardiff University. This is a full-time, open-ended post starting on 1st October 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter.

You will have expertise aligned to at least one of the School’s existing research groups and will have an established research record in any area of statistics, operational research or mathematics.  This post is being created to support our BSc course in Financial Mathematics and our MSc courses in Operational Research, Applied Statistics and Financial Risk.  You will be expected to contribute to the teaching of these programmes and to supervise MSc projects in finance related areas, possibly with external partners. This post is part of an ongoing expansion of the School which has seen a significant increase in the number of undergraduates, postgraduates and staff over the last five years.

The School of Mathematics is a research-led School in Cardiff University, one of the UK’s leading universities, with a reputation for internationally excellent research and high-quality teaching. This position is a full-time position, 35 hours per week and is open ended.

Salary range: £33,797 - £40,322 per annum (Grade 6)

The post is available from 1st October 2021 or as soon as possible thereafter.
