Faculty / Directorate

The School of Law, within the Faculty of Business and Law, is one of the largest university law schools in the country, with an enviable professional profile and an excellent reputation for student satisfaction.

Role

This is an opportunity to work alongside talented colleagues within the Faculty, lecturing in law, whilst making a significant contribution to the mission of the university. We are now seeking to make further academic appointments. We are looking for ambitious and motivated colleagues to teach law on a permanent, full time basis.

Ideal Candidate

You will contribute to undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching and will either have experience of lecturing in UK higher education or will be an experienced professional looking for a career change into academia. You should have strong interests in the theory, development and practice of law with the ability to teach a range of law modules including: Gender and the Law, Equity, Criminal Procedure, Evidence.

You will possess an excellent academic track record; a good honours degree and/ or a relevant professional qualification. A higher degree would be desirable. Candidates should also have excellent team working skills.
