Leeds Trinity University is seeking an enthusiastic, collaborative, and high-performing member of staff to join the Journalism team. We’re looking for someone who will be part of a team working to deliver high-quality teaching on Journalism courses ranked 2nd in the UK in the Guardian Good University Guide .
The successful candidate will have an excellent understanding of journalism and creative practice including experience with digital journalism and the associated technologies, software and studio practice. The teaching and tutoring for this role are for foundation Level 3 and undergraduate Level 4. We need a Lecturer with excellent pastoral skills for these crucial years for transition and progression.
Confidence in the use of online analytics is important and a grasp of the academic context of journalism is also essential in the role. We need a team member who understands the benefits of collaborative working with a broad variety of industry partners and who will work to develop new links for the benefits of our students, graduate employability, and our research expertise.
Applicants should ideally be active in research and knowledge exchange (appropriate to the stage of their career) bringing with them a network of contacts and collaborations and have an extensive portfolio of professional / creative outputs. The ability to work as an effective team member, contributing to the provision of high-quality teaching is essential.
