About this role

Join our highly professional, committed and student focused academic community, based at the Chichester campus. The International Programmes provision at the University of Chichester currently sits in the Institute of Psychology, Business and Human Sciences and supports the delivery of the University’s Level 6 ‘Top-up’ Programmes for international students, Presessional and Premaster’s Programmes and International Academic & Language support package. The post holder will also act as an Academic Adviser to individual students.

Please note, although the post may contain some online work, it is primarily a campus-based post which requires in-person attendance and face-to-face delivery.

About you

You will have a sound understanding of and experience in the delivery of Academic English and English for International Business. Experience of Business-related research skills, experience of working with Chinese learners, online delivery as well as experience of UK HE (Higher Education) undergraduate assessment processes will be advantageous. The role will include developing content to shape the delivery of international programmes.

Candidates should hold a TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) qualification and/or a relevant M level qualification (including certification of practical teaching skills) and have relevant experience in the areas above.  We are also keen to welcome applicants with research experience and/or a PhD.

You will need to demonstrate an ability to work effectively and positively within a small academic team, have excellent teaching methods with the ability to develop a variety of approaches to learning and teaching that is student-centred, inclusive and flexible.
