Oxford Brookes Business School (OBBS) has embarked on an exciting new phase of its development, with a recent move to a newly developed building on the Headington Campus at the heart of the University. We are continuing to develop our already excellent programmes of study, while further contributing to society through our research, our international engagement and our involvement with the regional community.

We are seeking to recruit a Lecturer in Events Management. You will contribute to a range of modules in events management and related subjects, support programme development, and, where appropriate, undertake module leadership. The post will offer you the opportunity to develop your subject specialism and research/knowledge exchange output.

Our research and knowledge activities are organised in the Centre for Business, Society and Global Challenges. This Centre focuses on four research areas: sustainability and social justice; communities, entrepreneurship and innovation; globalisation, digitalisation and work; and money, inequality and markets. As Lecturer in Events Management you will be:

  • Developing, leading and delivering modules in the field of Events Management, some of which will be for students studying off-campus;
  • Supervising and assessing students' projects and dissertations;
  • Addressing the pastoral needs of students;
  • Undertaking research leading to international quality publications, or knowledge exchange activities;
  • Initiating and sustaining mutually beneficial partnerships with external stakeholders.
