Allowances: plus £2,623 London Allowance

The post holder will (i) play a pivotal role in developing a high quality research portfolio across two teams (King’s Centre for Military Health Research and NIHR Biomedical Research Centre for Mental Health Nucleus), leading their own research programme (ii) undertake data analyses and writing for peer review publications (iii) seek research grant funding (iv) provide epidemiological, statistical and research supervision/advice and (v) contribute to the teaching, planning, assessment, organisation and delivery of teaching programmes in the faculty. The post holder will line manage researchers, supervise students, develop internal/external networks, actively participate in the dissemination of findings, undertake appropriate professional duties and engage in professional development.
The post holder will have a PhD in Epidemiology or similar, experience of working as an academic Epidemiologist and a relevant research portfolio. They will be familiar with statistical software packages such as STATA and MPLUS, have a track record of peer reviewed publications, and experience of teaching. The successful candidate will have excellent written, verbal and organisational skills and be self-motivated and proactive. Previous experience of supervising students and researchers and gaining funding would be an advantage.
The selection process will include a presentation and panel interview. Interviews are scheduled to be 3 July 2017
