With over 1,800 students and 75 academic staff, the Department of Finance and Economics is an ambitious, large, and diverse Department within the Faculty of Business and Law. We deliver a wide range of courses covering undergraduate, postgraduate and commercial programmes. We also contribute to the university's portfolio of cutting edge research in areas of Applied Economics, Corporate Governance and Sustainable Finance. 

Our team of academics have an excellent track record in industry collaboration, academic research and innovative teaching and learning.

We are very excited to be recruiting a number of academics who would like to contribute to our Education and Research ambitions. We are recruiting to both our EPC (Education, Citizenship and Pedagogy) and REC (Research, Education and Citizenship) pathways. In each instance, we want to recruit academics who are innovative, future-focused and determined to achieve our Education and Research metrics. In line with the redesign of our Undergraduate Economics programme, we are particularly interested in hearing from applicants who embrace economic pluralism. Individual applicants may be able to contribute to areas such as Environmental Economics, Economic Philosophy and History as well as Macro and Micro-Economics.
