We are seeking to recruit a Lecturer in Economics. As Lecturer, you will be engaged in teaching students at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as supporting programme development and module leadership. You will also contribute to the school's research and/or knowledge exchange agenda.

On both our Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes, Oxford Brookes Business School (OBBS) provides high quality education with a focus on excellence in teaching and learning, and our community of students and staff is truly global. The School has a vibrant research culture with 96% of our research judged to be internationally recognized (Research Excellence Framework 2014). Our research and knowledge exchange activities are organised in the Centre for Business, Society and Global Challenges. This Centre focuses on four research areas: sustainability and social justice; communities, entrepreneurship and innovation; globalisation, digitalisation and work; and money, inequality and markets. As Lecturer in Economics you will be:

  • Developing, delivering, and in some case, leading modules in the field of Economics, some of which will be for students studying off-campus;
  • Supervising and assessing students' projects and dissertations;
  • Addressing the pastoral needs of students;
  • Undertaking research leading to international quality publications, or knowledge exchange activities;
  • Initiating and sustaining mutually beneficial partnerships with external stakeholders.
