We are seeking to recruit a Lecturer in Economics. As Lecturer, you will be engaged in teaching students at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as supporting programme development and module leadership. You will also contribute to the school's research and/or knowledge exchange agenda.
On both our Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes, Oxford Brookes Business School (OBBS) provides high quality education with a focus on excellence in teaching and learning, and our community of students and staff is truly global. Our aim is to put into practice the University's vision to `provide an exceptional, student-centred experience which is based on both internationally excellent research and pedagogic best practice'.
The School has a vibrant research culture with 96% of our research judged to be internationally recognized (Research Excellence Framework 2014). Our research and knowledge exchange activities are organised in the Centre for Business, Society and Global Challenges. This Centre focuses on four research areas: sustainability and social justice; communities, entrepreneurship and innovation; globalisation, digitalisation and work; and money, inequality and markets. We expect successful candidates will contribute to one or more of these research areas. For more information please visit: https://www.brookes.ac.uk/bsgc/
OBBS invests heavily in the development of its staff, including significant support for research and knowledge exchange activity. You will enjoy working in a flexible, dynamic, growth-oriented academic environment with a focus on collaboration.

- Supervising and assessing students' projects and dissertations;
- Addressing the pastoral needs of students;
- Undertaking research leading to international quality publications, or knowledge exchange activities;
- Initiating and sustaining mutually beneficial partnerships with external stakeholders.
As well as the specified expertise, we are looking for individuals who share our values, as summed up in the University's guiding principles:
- Enterprising creativity
- Generosity of spirit
