You will deliver world-class teaching and research in the area of Digital Innovation Design, supporting the continuing development of the School of Design as a sector leading centre with innovation at its core. You will have experience as a designer and developer with expertise in digital innovations including immersive technologies and simulated reality platforms. You will acquire knowledge of developing innovative practices and conducting research using various XR software and 3D modeling tools across different contexts. In addition, you will have links with industry and be able to develop a strong network of engagement with the regional digital and interactive design sector.

You will have a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction/Digital Design (or related areas) and have a developing record of research in cognate areas commensurate with the level of the post, and clear indication of the ability to achieve internationally recognised standards of excellence. You will be a committed teacher and an outstanding communicator, able to contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate taught study in the area of Digital Innovation Design, including Immersive Design, User Experience Design, Game Design, and creative design and digital innovation in general. You will also contribute to teaching, pedagogy, and administrative activities by providing excellent research-led teaching across various of our creative programmes, specifically delivering specialist content within our programmes, including MA Digital Design Futures, MA Design, and BA Graphic and Communication Design. You will also contribute to our XLAB (Immersive Technology Lab).
