To support our continuing growth, we are seeking to appoint a new Lecturer in Computing within the Department of Computing. The Department is located within the School of Computing, Engineering and Built Environment and is a dynamic and vibrant academic community with a strong track record of innovative teaching, applied research and award-winning knowledge transfer activities.

As a Lecturer in Computing you will have a focus on providing high-quality learning and teaching that is underpinned by scholarly activity. We are keen to receive applications from people who will enhance our delivery of and reputation in areas including but not limited to Software Engineering, Software Development, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Data Engineering, Internet of Things and Information Security.Applicants should hold or be close to completion of a PhD in a relevant discipline area such as Computing Science, Informatics, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineeringand/or have extensive experience as a practitioner in a relevant discipline.

Lecturers are expected to contribute to the delivery and assessment of existing modules, supervision, and the enhancement of the student experience across the range of undergraduate, graduate apprenticeship and postgraduate programmes. Prior experience of supporting student learning, teaching and assessment in higher education and/or in industry/practice settings is essential. The Department of Computing promotes innovation in learning and teaching and, therefore, we are keen to appoint an individual with experience of e-learning and online environments. A higher education teaching qualification and/or Fellow status with Advance HE is desirable.
