About the role
In this role you will travel to China for between 20-25 weeks each academic year, where you will be expected to undertake teaching, research and administrative duties at the Leicester International Institute at the Panjin Campus of Dalian University of Technology, China (short name: Dalian Leicester Institute or DLI).  You will be contribute to the development and delivery of the DLI undergraduate degree programme, ensuring the very best learning experience for the students, whilst supporting the DLI to enhance its international reputation.  Working in the UK and China, you will also establish a sound scientific research base of high quality, making an impact at the international level.  A major aim is to establish a strong University of Leicester research presence at the DLI with applications in energy and/or environmental related issues.  Therefore, research relevant to energy and/or environmental related issues will be encouraged.
About you
With a relevant PhD and post-doctoral record of accomplishment, you will be able to evidence undergraduate teaching experience such as lecturing, supervision of projects and e-learning technologies. You will also be able to evidence a track record of the publication of high-quality journal papers, alongside the ability to write research grant proposals. 
You will have the ability to teach and supervise projects within the general area of Chemistry, with good interpersonal skills and the motivation to provide the best experience to our students.
