The Role

Kingston Business School is keen to appoint an enthusiastic individual to join our team at Lecturer level to lead our business law modules. As an experienced lecturer you will showcase innovative and inclusive teaching to support our undergraduate and postgraduate courses. You will deliver and assess a range of modules including Business Law and Ethics, Landlord and Tennant Law, and Company Law, developing a curriculum that integrates a professional legal perspective into modern business teaching. 

You will be a member of a department that promotes industry-focused and practice-based learning.  You will join a collegiate team of academics, whose research interests provide exciting opportunities for students to benefit from research-led teaching, workshops and seminars. Through your pursuit of opportunities that enhance the faculty’s reputation in higher education and occupational circles, you’ll have the opportunity to influence the role of law teaching within the business school.


The Person

You will have, or be working towards a PhD, and have relevant professional experience in the Law sector. You will demonstrate the potential to publish in quality journals, attract externally-funded research, or engage in knowledge transfer partnerships.  You will bring a strong track record of excellent teaching or hold a recognised teaching or learning qualification.

If you have not already achieved the relevant level of UKPSF recognition, we will need you to do so before the end of your probation period.

The Faculty of Business and Social Sciences combines Kingston Business School and the School of Law, Social and Behavioural Sciences. This is a one year fixed-term contract with a starting salary of £43,187 per annum
