Salary: Lecturer Point 23-37, £26,393 to £39,819 plus up to £4612 additional market premium gross per annum dependent on qualifications, skills and experience.

The Role
Working within the University Centre’s School of Business, Professional and Engineering, this post will predominantly focus on teaching the University Centre’s Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) commercial and apprenticeship provision across levels 7, 5 and 3. The role will also involve supporting undergraduate business degree students on specialist Human Resource programmes and modules.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who possesses a degree or equivalent level qualification in a relevant discipline. We are also looking for applicants who have a postgraduate qualification at Level 7 in Human Resource Management with practical experience in HR.
Ideally, you'll hold a PGCE or another recognised teaching qualification. However, we welcome applicants without prior experience in the education sector who possess relevant and transferable skills with a willingness to achieve a recognised teaching qualification within two years of appointment.
The successful applicant will be accredited with the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD). Equally, it is preferable if you can demonstrate a Fellowship of Higher Education Academy or commitment of achieving such Fellowship within two years of appointment.
With excellent interpersonal skills you will have the ability to relate to a wide and diverse student population with requirements to teach at Levels 3 – 7.
This is a 37-hour position, and you will be required to teach on our part time evening courses (up to 3 per week). Your working pattern will be amended accordingly. We are also happy to consider applicants with part-time availability.
