LECTURER IN AEROSPACE ENGINEERING

The Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering seeks to appoint a new member of staff as a Lecturer in Aerospace Engineering on the Teaching and Research (T&R) career path. This appointment is a potential opportunity for either `early career¿ or more experienced candidates. You will already have an established track record of academic endeavour. This will include papers in internationally leading journals in your field, as well as the potential for, or demonstration of, the ability to attract significant funding from a range of sources. Experience of working in or with the aerospace engineering industry would also be a significant benefit. You will be expected to engage with existing ¿ and develop new ¿ networks of academic, industrial, and government collaborators within and beyond the University.

In addition to your research track record, we are looking for an enthusiastic academic who is passionate about the student experience both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and will support the growth of our current research-linked teaching portfolio in aerospace engineering to complement our current portfolio of programmes.

You will have a PhD in Aerospace engineering or a relevant physical or mathematical science discipline (Already achieved for Grade 8 or about to obtain for Grade 7).
