Role

As a Lecturer in Accounting and Taxation (or Auditing), you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes, as well as executive programmes. Your role encompasses leading modules, planning, and delivering engaging lectures, seminars, and revision classes in accounting, taxation, or audit subjects through both face-to-face and virtual media.

Your commitment extends to supporting students in their academic learning and practical applications, fostering an environment that stimulates interest in the subject area. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of effective assessment strategies, ensuring a comprehensive approach to student evaluation.

In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you are expected to engage in scholarly or research activities within a relevant subject area. Active participation in the development of international activities and collaboration with local stakeholders is integral to the role. Ideal Candidate

You will be actively involved in undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching. With experience in lecturing within the UK higher education sector or as an accounting professional seeking a transition into academia, you will bring valuable insights to the academic environment. Your expertise should align with strong interests in the theory, development, and practical application of accounting. The ability to effectively teach a diverse range of accounting modules, including Financial Reporting/Management Accounting and Taxation or Audit and Assurance, is essential.

You will boast an impressive academic track record, supported by a good honours degree or a relevant professional qualification. While a higher degree is desirable, your commitment to academic excellence is paramount.
