The Department of Learning and Teaching Enhancement (DLTE) is seeking to appoint a full-time Lecturer for its Academic Practice team. This is an opportunity to contribute to the teaching of the Department’s accredited and non-accredited provision, and work across the university on other teaching and learning- focused projects.

The new Learning and Teaching Strategy is ambitious, both for students and staff. This strategy is introducing a Gold Standard Curriculum which will further strengthen the curriculum offer for our students and our academic reputation.
The post holder will teach and support learning, focusing on:
  • Contributing to the development of teaching and learning to ensure a quality learning experience for learners across all of DLTE programmes.
  • Contributing to other projects and staff development events run across the University, such as academic induction, CPD, and the Learning & Teaching Network.

Ensuring a quality learning experience for students on our accredited and non-accredited programmes. This will include a range of activities including:

  • Developing and designing face-to-face, online and blended teaching materials.
  • Teaching and supporting learners across a range of accredited and non-accredited programmes.
  • Developing learning and strategic enhancement projects in different contexts.
  • Working closely with School colleagues across a range of disciplines.

Who we are looking for:

Essential requirements:

  • A doctoral level qualification (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Evidence of leading pedagogical innovation
  • Evidence of academic leadership skills
  • Sufficient breadth and depth of experience in pedagogy to develop effective teaching/ learning
  • Experience of engaging learners in diverse contexts.

Salary: £40,927 - £50,296 per annum (Grade 6)
