ECONOMICS AND FINANCE AT RMIT
As the world’s economic weight continues to shift to Asia, demand is increasing for professionals in economics and finance across the public and private sectors. This program prepares our students for professional roles in an economy that is emerging as a major force in the global marketplace due to growth in new industries, businesses and investment.
Our students learn to perform high-level financial and economic analyses while developing cutting-edge knowledge and skills in trending areas. Courses in the areas of financial technology, blockchain economy, cryptofinance and cryptocurrency will help to prepare you for a future in a field shaped by disruptive technologies. YOUR ROLE
When you join our Economics and Finance Team as either a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer you will bring your expert knowledge, education and experience to add significant value and impact to the teaching, research and industry engagement related activities involved in this role. As an academic member of staff, you can expect to team across undergraduate and post graduate programs whilst developing your own scholarly, research and professional capabilities. You will actively promote the program through establishing and maintaining networks and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities (locally and internationally). OUR REQUIREMENTS
PhD in Engineering Software or IT related Doctoral qualification. Emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs with the specialist fields of applied and financial, crypto finance, big data, blockchain and program blockchain through publications, development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding, and industry links. Previous teaching experience in applied and financial, crypto finance, big data, blockchain and program blockchain, programming. Industry experience is desirable. Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver programs at undergraduate and post-graduate levels, including online delivery and, the ability to produce high quality curriculum or program materials. Highly rated performance relating to student outcomes, student experience and feedback Excellent team player Culturally adept and agile.

As an expatriate candidate you will require a work permit to be employed in Vietnam. To qualify for a work permit you will need a PhD qualification and you will need to be able to demonstrate at least 5 years of teaching Management related subjects in a tertiary education environment.
English is the language of teaching and communication at RMIT Vietnam. For this role, the minimum requirement is IELTS Academic 7.0 and with no band less than 6.5 (or equivalent).
