Faculty of Health & Life Sciences: Public Health & Sport Sciences
The role
The post of Lecturer in Exercise Physiology will contribute to extending the research profile of Public Health & Sport Sciences at Exeter, particularly in areas related or complementary to understanding the determinants of, and limitations to, human exercise performance.
The person appointed will work within the Applied Physiology, Nutrition and Metabolism group to support and develop research initiatives; teach in modules related to exercise physiology and /or sports nutrition; and provide sport science support to university athletes.
About you
For a Lecturer post you will have:
- A PhD or equivalent in exercise physiology and have an independent, internationally-recognised research programme in a relevant active field of research
- A strong record in attracting funding for research, or demonstrate potential to attract such funding
- An active approach to inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary research
- Enthusiasm for delivering high quality undergraduate programmes
- Strong connections and funded projects with business and community partners
- Involvement in projects which develop impact
- Skills and expertise that complements and/or extends that of the Applied Physiology, Nutrition and Metabolism Research Group
- Experience of providing applied exercise physiology support to athletes and sports people.
