The Faculty wishes to recruit a part-time (0.3 FTE) lecturer based in the psychology department to support the Academic Director with the delivery of the DClinPsy programme. This post is available immediately on a fixed term basis until the 31st of July 2026.

About the role

The main role of the successful candidate will be to act as convenor for the Learning Disabilities and Adult & Older Adult strands of the programme. You will have responsibility for ensuring the design, development and delivery of innovative teaching and learning material for this strand. You will work with the Academic Director to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of teaching programmes in accord with the Faculties education strategy and within the education objectives specific to the programme. You will also be involved in developing assignments, marking, and providing feedback to trainees, and acting as Year 2 Cohort tutor.

About you 

The successful applicant will possess a post graduate doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or its equivalent for those who trained prior to 1996 or those in lateral transfer) as accredited by the BPS and giving eligibility for Chartered Clinical Psychology registration.  They will also be HCPC registered.

The applicant will also be able to demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development as recommended by the BPS. In addition, the successful candidate will have experience of teaching in an HE environment.

Exeter has been training clinical psychologists for over 40 years, and the course has strong links with local NHS Trusts and third sector services.
