Post Title: Learning & Organisational Development Business Partner (Staff Experience)

FTE: 37 hours per week but requests to work part time will be considered.  

Duration of Contract: Permanent 

Salary: UH8 £44,263pa to £46,974pa with potential to progress to £56,021pa by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience 

Annual Leave: 30 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year 

Location: Bishops Square, Hatfield

Main duties and responsibilities

We are looking for a proactive Learning and Organisational Development professional to join our highly regarded team of L&OD Business Partners. This is a varied and exciting role and the successful candidate will design, deliver and evaluate a range of development interventions to further organisational effectiveness and staff engagement. This will include supporting staff surveys through focus groups and actions plans, delivering and developing workshops including leadership and management programmes, team development activities, mentoring schemes and other organisational development and staff engagement initiatives to support change. The impact of this role will be measured by improved employee engagement at the University.   

Skill and experience required: 

You will have had experience of Learning and Organisational Development or Learning and Development within a complex and diverse organisation, including designing staff surveys and evaluating feedback. You will be able to design and deliver learning materials on a wide range of topics and for a variety of audiences as well as manage other organisational development initiatives. Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, communication and writing skills are a must alongside the ability to deal with frequently changing and multiple priorities whilst managing projects. You will be able to successfully build and develop excellent working relationships across the University, and contribute to the team and individual projects with motivation and integrity. 

Qualifications required: 

You will have a minimum of a Bachelors degree, or higher, in a relevant subject area, or have equivalent substantial proven experience within Learning and Organisational Development /Learning and Development. You will also have a recognised professional qualification (e.g. Chartered Member of CIPD or equivalent) or be close to completion.

The nature of the Business Partnering work requires both attendance on site and attendance online via video call on a regular basis.
