Learning Enhancement Tutor (Mathematics and Statistics) • REF: ALC907
£33,199 to £39,609 per annum, pro rata for part-time
This post was created to provide an effective and prompt response to the growing demand for support in aspects of mathematics and statistics. Students seek help across a wide range of areas, from basic numeracy skills to the higher level topics required for some courses in Environmental and Computing Sciences.
You will deliver tutorials and workshops and contribute to the development of self-access study resources in the areas of mathematics and statistics, in particular elementary and advanced statistics. You will work closely with other members of the Learning Enhancement Team, other teams in the Student Support Service and colleagues in Schools of Studies and other departments across the University, including the Library and Union of UEA Students.
The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent qualification in a subject with a substantial mathematical component, together with an academic postgraduate qualification and experience of teaching at tertiary level.
The post is available immediately on an indefinite full-time basis, however we are also happy to accept applications for part-time and job share options.
This appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
