Lead Pharmacist for Foundation Training Year (Maternity Cover)

The School of Pharmacy at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Lead Pharmacist for Foundation Training Year (Maternity Cover).

The successful candidate will manage and lead the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Foundation Training Year for pharmacists. This programme of learning must fulfil the Commission from the Department of Health and facilitate the implementation of Government strategy for the delivery of pharmacy services. This role will require travel to training sites across Northern Ireland.

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

  • Degree in Pharmacy.
  • Member or eligible for membership of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland.
  • Substantial recent experience as a Registered Pharmacist.
  • Experience of working in community pharmacy and/or hospital and/or primary care.
  • Experience of networking within pharmacy and multi-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Experience in project management.

    This post is available on a fixed term contract until 21 March 2025. Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
