About Us

This role will sit within Outreach and Access, in the Schools and Colleges team. The Outreach and Access team is funded through Office for Students (OfS). The OfS funding is used to tackle and eliminate inequalities in higher education. The Outreach and Access team works with pre-entry students that are least likely to participate in higher education to help them make informed decisions regarding their educational futures.

About the Job

We are seeking a Lead Partnership Officer (Post 16) to support and deliver our strategic aims. The role will deliver a portfolio of outreach projects, events and presentations to young people and work in collaboration and partnership with key external stakeholders, schools and colleges and internal stakeholders, academic schools and service areas. Our work enables students to develop their skills, knowledge and understanding of higher education, to make informed choices about further study and to prepare for successful transition to university. We work across London and Essex and some weekend and evening work will be required. Our work supports the university’s wider recruitment strategy. 

This is a customer facing role working directly with young people. A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) will be requested for the successful candidate. 

About You

The successful candidate will thrive at working with underrepresented groups and supporting their transition to university and beyond. You will have the ability to organise and deliver outreach programmes for 16 – 18 year olds and be able to develop and sustain successful partnerships with schools, colleges, academic schools and third parties. You will be comfortable working and adapting creatively in a changing environment and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
