About the department

SOAS Language Centre offers quality teaching in a wide range of languages to SOAS students and the general public through its extensive extramural programme. It also provides accredited language Diplomas and bespoke language training for diverse organisations.

About the role

Key responsibilities include assisting with the registration of students, database maintenance, answering student queries from the initial point of enquiry to course completion, data collection and ensuring that student experience is prioritised and a high quality service is provided.

About you

Attention to detail and an ability to manage your own time and work independently in a methodical manner is essential.

You should have experience of working in a busy customer facing administrative role with evidence of having planned and supported activities that involve direct interaction or contact with clients or students, dealing with fees, taking bookings and raising refunds, and maintained administrative processes and databases.
