Laboratory Technician (Teaching)

The School of Chemistry & Chemical Engineering (CCE) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to recruit a talented Laboratory Technician to provide specialist technical services to support teaching. 

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

  • Academic and/or vocational qualifications i.e. 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) or NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject.
  • At least 2 years’ relevant experience in a technical role within a laboratory.
  • Experience in chemical science techniques relevant to the post.
  • Experience in the following:
    • Experience of preparing samples
    • Health and safety including the production of risk assessments
    • Stock control and requisitioning
    • Management of inventory
