The role
We are seeking a highly-motivated laboratory support scientist to join the Rosalind Franklin Institute on a permanent basis. About you
Candidates must hold Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, while a further degree to MSc or PhD level in a relevant discipline is desirable. We are looking for candidates with good organisation and tasks management skills, the ability to handle routine tasks with little supervision once trained, as well as the ability to deliver results to required standard and schedule. Experience in the maintenance of equipment and in chemical inventories or inventory systems is desirable.
About us
The Rosalind Franklin Institute (the Franklin) is a new national Research Centre, funded by the UK government through UK Research and Innovation, dedicated to bringing about transformative changes in life science through interdisciplinary research and technology. Our work is focused into five complementary themes, which together will produce technologies which allow us to see the biological world in new ways, from single molecules to entire systems. This insight will speed up drug design and development, and push forward our understanding of human health and disease.
Location: The Franklin is based in Harwell Campus, UK’s innovation hub and well-established as one of the leading science and innovation campuses in Europe.
