The University of Wolverhampton has been part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to establish a ‘Science in Industry Research Centre’ (SIRC), at the University of Wolverhampton Science Park.   The SIRC project supports small companies (SMEs) based in specific areas of the West Midlands to carry out research and innovation projects in the fields of Biotechnology, Polymers and Life Sciences, in collaboration with specialist staff and resources in the Centre.

You will be responsible for managing the research collaboration activities of academic and research specialist staff based in the SIRC centre, working with SME companies developing new science-based products.  This role demands specialist knowledge and experience of work in a scientific or technical laboratory, as you will be personally responsible for carrying out technical consultancy work to support the collaborations.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with experience of producing technical reports and experience of scientific product development by industry.
