Birmingham City University is seeking to recruit a Knowledge Transfer (KT) Administrator to join the Knowledge Transfer, Business Engagement Team within in the RIEE department.

Job Purpose: 

To support end to end administrative duties on behalf of the Head of Knowledge Transfer & Business Engagement, KT BEM team to ensure that Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) and KT administration is managed accurately to deadline, ensuring accurate data entry relating to the team’s activities across all KTP projects, and all data is accurately recorded, managed and monitored via SharePoint and the CRM.

Main Activities & Responsibilities to support KT and KTP enquiries: 

  • Maintaining an accurate filing system both electronically via SharePoint and hard copy files are managed and maintained across KTP projects 
  • Record accurate data relating to KTP/KT activities onto CRM
  • Recording confidential relating to KTP/KT activities onto SharePoint 
  • Recording KTP Associate Annual leave, and communicate accurate data to HR 
  • Set up weekly 1-1 meetings / team group meetings 
  • Record minutes of LMC KTP meetings, submitting to deadline 
  • Managing KTP/KT related paperwork and checking progress on internal information requirements across both internal / external stakeholders
  • Co-ordinating logistics for events, training sessions and client meetings
  • Knowledge of Knowledge Transfer Partnerships and fundaments of KTP processes and procedures 
  • Track record of delivering high level administrative duties for teams managing external projects
  • Track record of administrative duties in a client led environment
  • Experienced in managing a CRM 
  • Experienced in managing SharePoint 
  • Exposure to event management

  • Ability to build confidence, credibility and rapport with colleagues, partners and external customers / clients 
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and client liaison skills
  • Good team-worker
  • Ability to prioritise, working to deadlines 
  • Knowledge and experience of computer packages such as word processing, spreadsheets and data-bases
  • Flexible approach 

We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, with the ability to work in an organised and efficient manner, have attention to detail, excellent communication skills, good interpersonal skills and are flexible and co-operative.
