Canterbury Christ Church University are looking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced manager to take on the role of Curriculum Manager within the Registry Services Directorate. The role holder will ensure curriculum records meet the University’s statutory, legislative, and regulatory policies, and that our module and programme curriculum data meets recognised and agreed data quality standards. This is an exciting and dynamic role reporting to the Head of SITS Record Management with a remit to ensure the oversight of the curriculum data and data processing to facilitate the smooth operation, management, development, and maintenance of the record.

The recent implementation of SITS student records system represents a significant shift in the delivery of core academic administrative processes, and the underpinning technical infrastructure; consolidating many services that were previously delivered outside the student record system. The role holder will collaborate with colleagues across the University, including academics, to develop the curriculum, and with business process owners to ensure that the Curriculum and Assessment Record supports the effective operation of key academic administration activities.

The role holder will manage, develop and quality assure the work of the curriculum team to ensure coordination of the annual activities associated with the setup and maintenance of curriculum records are customer focused, streamlined and efficient, to meet the needs of the University and our internal and external stakeholders. They will oversee the management, setup and maintenance of core curriculum records processes in SITS (e.g., new course set-up, new module set-up, changes to course, module, diets and assessment data), and develop and document new processes, protocols, and test any technical developments, design and deliver training across the University and ensure data quality.

The Curriculum Manager will manage, as well as be actively involved in, a varied range of systems enhancements that may be complex, multi-faceted, and involve significant organisational and behavioural change. They will help embed a culture of continuous improvement; empowering, motivating and enabling the curriculum team and University colleagues to use SITS to simplify our core processes and deliver measurable benefits to the student and staff experience.

The role will work closely with IT and the Student Records Manager to enhance the use of technology to support the operation and integration of curriculum and student records processes. Under the direction of the Head of SITS Record Management, the role holder will identify, prioritise and pro- actively manage systems development requirements alongside Business-as-usual activities to support the needs of the business.

We would love to hear from you if you are an experienced leader with the ability to motivate and develop staff and have experience of strategic data management within Higher Education. You will enjoy building strong effective stakeholder relationships, and have excellent communication, influencing and analytical skills.

You will have administrative experience of working with curriculum and/or student records, including developing and applying procedures and regulations. You will also be experienced in leading and coordinating large-scale activities, processes, and programmes of work, successfully improving processes to support the staff and student experience through the design, development and implementation of core business systems and processes and designing and delivering effective related training.
