This new full-time post is available on a fixed term basis from 04/03/2024 - 28/02/2025 and offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home (expected to be on campus twice a month). Flexible working hours around core times of day.

Summary of the role

We are looking for a Junior Microsoft 365 Developer/Administrator with an interest in supporting and developing solutions within Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform. The role holder will work on a range of project-based deliverables, supporting and developing solutions in line with information and document management best practises. Working closely with stakeholders, the role holder will translate business processes into M365-built solutions; assisting the University on its transition to a more automated, digital working environment.

The role in the Cloud Services Team will be wide and varied, from working on day to day user support to creating business solutions. We will help you develop your skills to enable you to build bespoke solutions for customers, using SharePoint, Power Apps, Power Automate, Powershell, Azure and other technologies depending on the project.

The role:

  • You will provide IT development, support and guidance for SharePoint and the wider Microsoft 365 suite.
  • You will work on both large and small IT changes, including the development, deployment and testing of new Cloud applications, platforms and digital services in line with Strategy & Architecture standards and principles.
  • You will deliver sessions and workshops to a range of technical and non-technical audiences to assist in the rollout, adoption and effective use of Microsoft 365.

You will ideally: 

  • Either have experience or a keen interest in learning to support and develop solutions within Microsoft 365 (SharePoint and Power Platform).
  • Have an understanding of working with business workflows.
  • Have an understanding of best practice principles within IT development, testing and Information Governance.
  • Be passionate about new IT and digital technologies with a particular interest in Microsoft 365.
  • Be keen to continually develop and learn new skills as required by the role
  • Be flexible, adaptive, and proactive in your approach to seek continuous improvement of our services and technologies.
  • Have strong communication skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships.
