IT Services at the University of Manchester is a vibrant and fast-moving department, we focus on delivering excellent customer service and quality services for our staff, students and researchers. 

The Team

You’ll be based in the Governance and Delivery Management Office. We support the delivery and change projects within IT services. We’re responsible for allocating resources and monitoring project efficiency and, because we’re intimately involved in the planning process, for keeping stakeholders informed of progress. 

The Role

As ITS Data coordinator you will:

  • Work with the ITS GaDMO Data Officer to collate and manage all project and programme management information.
  • Collate reports for Programme and Governance boards producing packs in a timely manner with attention to detail.
  • Support ITS Data Officer to design and maintain Power BI reports.
  • Maintain access to and accuracy of data and reports on SharePoint sites to update ITS and SCO on ITS programme and portfolio data.
  • Support management of ITS time sheeting system including access requests, reporting and management of reporting codes.
  • Coordinates the collation of monthly capacity planning reports from ITS resource managers and liaises with SCO Portfolio PMO to identify discrepancies.

The Person​​​​​​​

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate an awareness of:

  • An awareness of the collection, analysis and application of historical and synthetic measurements in the estimation of IT activities. Understanding the metrics associated with a problem or situation, their significance and relationship, and being able to manipulate these as necessary to identify solutions.
  • Methods and techniques for reporting progress and financial conformance against an agreed plan.
  • Be good at problem solving and working autonomously finding areas for continuous improvement and sharing these with the team.
