MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK
We are looking for 2 Investigator Scientists to join Dr Lori Passmore’s Group to study the multiprotein complexes that regulate eukaryotic mRNA poly(A) tails and transcription. The 2 candidates will use in vitro reconstitutions, cryo-EM studies, x-ray crystallography, biophysics and functional assays.
These posts would suit enthusiastic scientists with a desire to work on a challenging and rewarding project as part of a friendly and supportive team. The ideal candidates will have a PhD in a relevant subject and expertise in structural biology, expression and purification of multi-protein complexes, and in vitro biochemical reconstitution. In addition, experience with any of the following would be an advantage: baculovirus to express large multiprotein complexes, purification of native complexes from yeast, assays of RNA-protein interactions.
