We are seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic International Opportunities Assistant who will strengthen our team by sharing our passion for providing excellent frontline customer service to students undertaking their mobility journey.

So what will the role involve?

  • Supporting enquiry and application processes by having a keen eye to detail to ensure student information is captured and stored correctly
  • Complying with grant terms, university finance regulations and processing deadlines
  • Contributing to marketing and promotions of international opportunities including pre-departure briefings and drop in sessions
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring that students have access to all of the required information to have a positive experience with our partners
  • Contributing to our thinking and be challenging on how Salford can transform the way it addresses equity disparities, embraces diversity and becomes more inclusive

The role requires a keen eye to detail and ensuring information submitted by students is accurate and complete.  It also embraces a creative element with the creation of promotional materials and, a process driven approach with an inquisitive mind to challenge the way we operate and seek continuous improvement to ensure a smooth student experience.

A little bit about the team…

 The Partnerships Team is located within the International Office and is responsible for supporting and developing International Opportunities, UK Partnerships and Partnerships overseas.  The International Office also has an International Recruitment Team works closely with the Academic Schools in planning and implementing regional strategies to increase international student recruitment and enhance the University’s international reputation and global reach.  Together the teams support the University to grow and diversify, have a global impact, and increase global citizenship.  

Partnership development is an integral part of the International Office and activities include: developing new ethical and quality business development leads, supporting academic and collaborative partnerships and facilitating visiting delegations. The Partnerships team work across multiple internal stakeholders including of Finance, Legal, Quality and Enhancement, and the Research Office.
