Post Title:  International Officer, South East Asia

FTE: 1.0 fte (working 37 hours per week)

Duration of Contract: Permanent

Salary: UH7 £37,099 pa to £40,521 pa with potential to progress to £44,263 pa by annual increments on achieving designated skills and experience.

Annual Leave: 30 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

Location: College Lane Campus, University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield

We are seeking an individual to join the International recruitment team within the International Office. This role will be operationally responsible for delivering the University's corporate international agenda within the region, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders.

Main duties and responsibilities

Key duties include the delivery of sales targets and the performance of recruitment channels and assisting in implementing the international student recruitment strategy in the region. You will support the development of strategically focused regional plans that communicate the priorities and opportunities as well as the development of channels within the region, providing market intelligence and knowledge to both schools of study and the rest of the international team.

Skills and experience required

You will have a proven record of successfully working in a comparable international or sales role and be able to demonstrate that you can achieve international sales targets. Along with evidence of commercial acumen, you will have strong organisational and IT skills with strong personable and communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven knowledge of the issues surrounding international student recruitment in East and South East Asia is also essential. You should be committed to providing excellent service standards and build relationships with people from a range of environments, cultures and backgrounds.

The ability to speak a relevant second language would all be desirable.

Qualifications Required

Minimum of degree level, hold an equivalent qualification, or have extensive experience or proven professional work experience.
