Marketing, Recruitment, Communication and Global (MRCG)

This new full-time post is available from Oct 2021 onwards for a one year fix-term basis.

Summary of the role/position

MRCG works to enhance the university's global reputation, build effective stakeholder relationships, and attract and develop students with the potential to excel. We engage with stakeholders in the UK and all around the world and have expertise in branding, strategic marketing, event management, digital and traditional media, student recruitment, admissions, widening participation, market research and internal communications and global higher education. As part of Exeter Global, the International Student Recruitment team leads on delivery of the University’s international recruitment strategy in order to meet ambitious targets.

About the role

As part of Exeter Global in MRCG, this role will be part of the International Student Recruitment team to lead on delivery of the University’s international recruitment strategy in order to meet ambitious targets by representing the University internationally, raising its brand and profile and contributing to the achievement of the University’s ambitious targets for international student recruitment. This role will be working closely with relevant regional recruiters to develop effective strategies and tactics for recruitment from their given markets, and provide well-researched and timely guidance to colleagues on matters pertaining to international student recruitment from relevant markets and to lead inbound campus visits, agent familiarisation, handle enquiry management and admissions referrals for their relevant markets. This role work with target markets but may need to expand and/or focus on other markets for personal development and/or as a result of business need. Specific knowledge or experience of a specific region is not essential but the role does require cultural sensitivity and awareness.

About you

We are looking for a collaborative team player and communicator who is able to identify areas for improvement and take pragmatic ownership to make improvement plans addressing emerging market dynamic and recruitment approaches in the given portfolio. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate decision-making, taking the lead in developing and implementing a recruitment plan for a priority market with minimised supervision.
