The Facilities Team is looking to recruit an Interior Design, Furniture and Equipment Officer to work within the wider Estates Office in supporting the provision of first-class spaces through the design and procurement of innovative furniture and equipment solutions which are both sustainable and inclusive.
Reporting to the IDFE Manager the IDFE Officer will provide interior design advice and project delivery as well as day-to-day furniture and equipment solutions to departments, for new builds, refurbishments and ongoing replacements.
In making this appointment the IDFE Manager is seeking a candidate who, amongst other qualities, can demonstrate:
- Outstanding project management and interior design skills, including the use of AutoCAD and other design software packages.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate and arbitrate at all levels.
- Motivation and prioritisation skills to manage multiple projects concurrently ensuring client requirements are consistently met.
- Technical knowledge and experience working in the contract furniture sector, particularly within an HE environment.
- An excellent working knowledge of industry appropriate Health & Safety regulations and space planning norms.
