About the role
We are seeking to recruit an Interim Head of the Humanities HR Shared service (HRSS) pending the outcome of a strategic review of the service at a key phase in its development as it stabilises and matures. This role provides an opportunity to lead the continued delivery of the shared service for HR operational matters across most of the Division’s ten faculties. Seven of the faculties, and the Divisional Office, plan to move to the Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities from 2025. We are keen to continue to provide strong management of the HR shared service whilst the long term direction of the function is considered in the round.
About you
You will be responsible for providing leadership, management and support to the team. Working with the Deputy Head of Divisional Administration, Divisional Registrar, and Heads of Administration and Finance in the faculties, you will co-ordinate HR support across the Division, ensuring resources are optimally allocated to support staff development, whilst ensuring workloads are manageable and maintaining a high level of customer support.
If you are an enthusiastic leader with a strong HR background, keen to support change across a range of faculties, and want to ensure the continued improvement to processes we would be pleased to hear from you.
The duties and skills required are described in further detail in the job description.
