INTERNAL VACANCY

This vacancy is open to employees of the University of Nottingham only.

We have an exciting opportunity to join UoN Libraries as Associate Director for Educational Excellence on an interim basis, to cover a secondment until 31 December 2024.

We know that having colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds is key to a good, supportive workplace and even better services. We are particularly keen to receive applications from those who are currently underrepresented in Libraries in the UK, such as racially minoritised people.

As Associate Director for Educational Excellence, you will have responsibility for all activities relating to Quality Assurance and Enhancement. You will liaise with key stakeholders across the university to promote institution-wide best practice and to ensure regulatory compliance.

Alongside your knowledge and experience of the Higher Education landscape, you will bring a committed, flexible and emotionally intelligent approach to your leadership of the section.

A key element of your role will be to act as a member of the Libraries Senior Management Team, playing a proactive part in collective thinking around strategic leadership and departmental culture.

This post is available on a fixed term basis until 31st December 2024. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours). Job share arrangements may be considered.

Requests for secondment from internal candidates will be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.

Interviews are due to take place on Monday 22 January.

Informal enquiries may be addressed to Elisabeth Jackson via email [email protected]. Please note that applications sent directly to this email address will not be accepted.
