The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Masaryk University appoints a selection procedure for the position of instructor of the Department of Optometry and Orthoptics (with shorter working hours, 8 hours per week

The Department of Optometry and Orthoptics is an educational and research department of the Faculty of Medicine, providing education of non-medical programmes, specifically bachelor’s studies Optics and Optometry, Otrhoptics and master’s study Optometry.

Required qualification:

  • Completed university education in the field of Optometry, or equivalent education attained abroad
  • Teaching experience in orthoptics welcome
  • Interest in fields of orthoptics (compleated training within the field welcome)
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in orthoptics
  • Fluent Czech (spoken and written)
  • Ability of independent pedagogical and scientific work, including publishing activity
  • Interest in enrollment in doctoral studies is welcome
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Active approach, initiative and willingness to further education
  • Ability to actively participate in domestic and international conferences
  • Moral integrity
