Job Description

The College of Information Technology at the United Arab Emirates University invites applications for the position of Instructor in the Department of Computer and Network Engineering.

Candidates must hold a Master Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Networking, or a similar field of study. Preferences will be given to qualified candidates with a strong background in the broad area of Computer Engineering, Networking and with a prior undergraduate teaching experience.

Particular competencies include: Circuits design and analysis, digital systems design, computer architecture and hardware platforms including microcontroller-based designs, embedded systems and Robotics, computer communication and networking, protocol and network design, C/C++ and Python programming, MATLAB, IoT architecture and protocols, cloud computing and services.

The College offers undergraduate Bachelor of Science (BSc) programs in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Security, and Computer Engineering. The college also offers various graduate programs.

Minimum Qualification

Candidates must hold a Master or higher degree in Computer Engineering or in a related field of study, from an accredited college or university. The candidate’s B.Sc. degree must be in Computer Engineering. Industrial certifications and professional experience are a plus.

Preferred Qualification

Preferences will be given to qualified candidates with a strong background in computer and network engineering and related fields, as well as prior experience teaching at the undergraduate level. Candidates with industry certifications and training in related areas are also highly preferred.
