The IDAM Team

This is an exciting opportunity to work within one of the UK’s largest universities and help deliver the University of Manchester’s vision to become a world leading university. To support this aim IT Services has established an ambitious strategic plan that will allow us to further develop our services and become more agile and responsive to the needs of the University. Supporting the delivery of this vision will be the authentication, directory and identity management services which are managed and developed by Directory Services.

You will be working in a team of 8 to provide directory, identity and access management services to over 50,000 students and staff.

This role

IT Services are looking for a junior Infrastructure Analyst to be a part of our IDAM Team.

In return, this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills and work in a large organisation providing enterprise level identity and authentication services.

Specific Role Requirements

The successful applicant will have:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in an IT role
• Some knowledge/experience of IT identity lifecycle management
• Some knowledge/experience of Directory technology eg Active Directory
• Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
• Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
• Excellent communication skills

Desirable :  SQL Development

Responsibilities include –
• Support and assist the IDAM team
• Triage support calls and requests and resolve, or escalate accordingly
• Support and monitor existing infrastructure
